Carnival in Corfu

Saturday 9 to Thursday 14 March

After travelling the Balkans, we were looking for a little R&R and some milder weather. Corfu seemed like a very good option.

Part of the attraction was a simple boat ride across the Straits of Corfu. Leaving Albania had proved tricky – there aren’t many options available.

We arrived in Corfu town to see the Carnival, the celebrations before the Greek Orthodox lent. We hired a car and explored the south then the north of the island.

From Corfu we flew, via Athens to Cyprus.
