Lithuania

We found eastern Lithuania to be remarkably European. We enjoyed the beautiful castle of Trakai and the capital Vilnuis.

Returning to Lithuania from Finland, Estonia and Latvia, we learned about walking sand dunes on the Curonian Spit and enjoyed some peaceful sightseeing in Kaunas, we visited the pilgrimage of the Hill of Crosses which offered a rich history of Lithuanian determination. We finished our tour of Lithuania in charming Kaunas.

Heading west again we returned to Poland.
