Nantes and the Loire

We didn’t place much importance on Nantes – it was a place between Bordeaux and Brittany. However we arrived in the late afternoon and discovered the Chateau des ducs de Bretagne – a magnificent chateau on the right bank of the Loire, it was the residence of the Dukes of Brittany between the 13th and 16th centuries.

The other curiosity we found was the La Tour LU (the LU Tower); a tower standing the entrance of the former Lefèvre-Utile biscuit factory. These biscuits, with the image of a small boy, are famous in France.

The land of crepes, we indulged in crepes with sausage, crepes with cheese and crepes with strawberries.
