Armenia

As we walked across the border from Ian to Armenia, I felt a sense of loss. We had gained a huge understanding of life in Iran. Travelling there was hard but rewarding.

We had arranged a guide to meet us and take us to Yerevan, with an overnight stop in Kapan where monasteries and monuments beckoned.

From there we drove via Tatev to the capital Yerevan, learning about the most ancient Christian churches and the Ottoman invasion.

Our touring in Yerevan and the local monasteries was a great insight into the Caucasus.
