My knowledge of Montenegro was limited to beautiful beaches and lakes.
A non Euro country that uses the Euro currency and number plates, Montenegro is experiencing a tourist revival since the Yugoslav wars of the 1990s and is now trying to put some of that money back into its infrastructure.
Our usually reliable TomTom only knew one road in the whole country and the village names on our maps didn’t seem to match the road signs, so we drove long distances on TomTom’s one known road to reach our various destinations.
At least the one road on the TomTom also got us out of the country.
